GGs Congrats.

Not to say that you wouldn't have won anyway but it's a shame we couldn't have a proper fight, was completely unplayable for me with 10-15 second redboxes every 2/3 minutes. With us not basing our map picks on my terrible unplayable connection I think we could've taken it to a 5th map. We even kept up with you on Curse/Ghardhen until the lag took over. You can only beat what's in front of you though, so deserved champions.

Overall really happy with my team who did really well, only dropping 1 reg map prior to the final - sorry we couldn't have a real conclusion to the season.

Did do this though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQfAD0S9Snc

GGs guys. Sorry for Monk's epiclag not allowing us to have an insanely close finals. 19-0 still feels good even if we couldn't have a great bout in the finals.

ps. phr's gf can 420noscope saw it first hand

ph34r is the obvious season and league mvp, he's $1000 for a reason. I believe this is his 2nd GU league ring as captain?

There are only a handful of sDOM players who can single handedly influence an entire map in a league situation with top players- monk, bleh when he's on fire, and ph34r being the main ones. Anyone can have a good amp run or put up numbers vs lower level players in a pug, but being able to swing all 3 cps for a long time with one amp vs a really top lineup is exceptionally rare. The positioning, teamplay, awareness to always be at the right place at the right time is what sets ph34r apart- Not only with his own play, but with his ability to direct his team while doing so.

For example, it wasn't shown much on stream, but phr's perfectly timed help at ledge was crucial for not letting shots get a handle on csn on curse. Sniping from top (with or without amp), or dropping on point, or taking shots while dropping for armor or jumping to belt- all timed to keep shots weak so that he was unable to establish position or control on the cp, while simultaneously holding top.

Rest of ph34r's team was also monstrous, so it's no surprise that ph34r, who led a team of scrubs to almost win last sDOM season, would go undefeated during this one with a team that's 3 times stronger.

got the chance to play with great people and had a lot of fun getting to know you guys outside of the game.
special thanks to ulo and all the other admins for running this successful season, i really think it was an improvement from last season.
m3ss and grins as always was great when u guys streamed, always appreciated!

GG.

This season has been great, and I was part of a great team. It sucked that we had lag issues, and I wish I could have played better (Whenever I was free no sdom pugs were happening =[ )

ph34r's team definitely deserves to be the champions, looking at even the entire season it was just a non-stop rape train. I couldn't think of a better team to lose to .

GG's to everyone, and especially my teammates it was a no BS season and it was great =]

I felt bad for monk watching him running into walls on stream :E

unlucky since this should've been the best game of the season based on the quality in the teams.

congrats ph34r anyway, hope you will be challenged again next season with less skilled players at your side :-D

Shame Monk was lagging basicly all 3 maps rendering him mostly redboxing 10-20seconds at a time not allowing him to be in any part of the game main player shut down due to lag I dunno how many times Id turn around to see him just walking into a corner or into a wall for 20 seconds. They caught it on the stream a few times but only 20% of it. I dunno how much wouldve changed if he was not lagging could've been a different game damn sure not a 3 map shutout atleast 4-5mapper to decide this. Anyhow goodgames ph34r deserved winner everytime he cap10's he always gets a solid team not sure how this always happens but it does.

Evidently Monk had connection problems before the match even started, but my team didn't find out until the end of Map 2 when we saw him having a few redjacks. Offered to postpone when we knew since Monk doesn't have consistent connection problems but they just wanted to play it out anyway. Monks connection problems aside, I think it definitely would have went at least 4 if you chose Deck over Slimetime or at least picked Nitro first. Better matchups on those 2 imo, but hindsight is always 20/20. I had the good ole 100ping 5pl myself (thanks NFO!) but nothing like the difficulty Monk was experiencing, so its a shame we didn't get to test ourselves against your very best form. Especially considering how close some of the maps were, can definitely see them going either way on a playable server. With that said Monk still wasn't missing a shot and I feel like we earned our championship with hard work and team studying before the playoffs even began. Thanks to my team for a great season

We picked slime time as it was a map I could win a Cp on while lagging - worked to a degree. If my connection wasn't terrible I would've picked nitro deck in that order, but my hope was that my connection fixed before nitro. As soon as I saw how bad it was I knew the final was over. Our ts was actually not depressed in the slightest because we were resigned to defeat before it even started and just tried to put on a show for the stream.

It actually got considerably worse and the stuff caught on the stream at the end of curse was happening for the entire game. When I wasn't red boxing my ping was still 40 higher than normal and was just spiking around, makes it impossible to get used to when it isn't stable.

Regardless of that it was finals day and the servers have been horrible for me for 3 weeks so there wasn't much point rescheduling, especially as I can't make the next 3 weekends.

It's a shame and means we'll never really know how it would have gone in a proper match up, but as I said you can only beat what is in front of you and it's hard to argue against a team going 19-0 being champions.

Congrats again.
