How little i know? I read the logs and gave an opinion (this has nothing to do with ut). Is nation bashing and personal attacks allowed? What more do i need to know? Doesnt seem like a very complex issue.

You read about 40 lines of logs. It's nothing compared to what's on IRC. The fact that you're even trying to defend his ban is more baffling. IF you actually did idle on IRC then you would see why that ban wasn't removed. There's been multiple offenses but apparently you did know that since you've been reading logs? Wrong. I don't know why you keep saying "this is the internet" shitwixx. This isn't 2001. This place is pretty popular, arguably more popular than real life for young adults when you factor in all the ways we access it daily. We work on it 8+ hours a day, we check it when we take a shit, we play games on it and we decide what we are going to do in the real world on it.

Someone spreading actual, fundamental hate on the internet is no longer tolerable. This is a public place.

Vitz must of missed my last post. Im not against the ban, i was just curious why your allowed to personally attack other players and bash their country.

Am i allowed to say, "portugal is a ******** country and vitz is a f****** tard?" (No offense, i played ut3 with the prt and like them a lot and have no probs with you).

The issue is that we have set out guidelines for what we believe is tolerable behavior and we expect the players to abide by them. If you agree with it, great. If you don't, play elsewhere. It's really a simple concept and it's the admins responsibility to distinguish and use discretion for what we will and won't tolerate.

i agree with chadwixx here to a certain extent -- it seems as if people are missing his point or choosing not to answer it. a personal attack is a personal attack no matter what -- based on race, gender, nationality, etc. don't see how you can ban someone for just ONE of those types of attacks and not all of them.

it's one thing to insult someone / attack them regarding their gaming ability or lack thereof (part of competitive online gaming), but another thing entirely for personal attacks. you're not setting any sort of concrete precedent by only banning certain instances of personal attacks. either ban for them all or don't ban someone at all is i believe his point, and i actually concur.

Xenophobism/racism leads to decreasing interest in these leagues aswell as diversity among the players that participate in it and thats pretty much the opposite of globalunreal's ideology. Its ok if you call a german an idiot, its not ok if you call him a nazi. See the difference? Both personal attacks and one of them will sooner or later get you banned. I believe this is a simple concept to grasp and not having regulations that can moderate these types of incidents will only contribute to a small league like mlig with alot of preconcepts and narrowminded ideologies. I remember first time I joined #mlig i was banned for "packeting" (wich I didnt even know what it even meant at the time). Turns out my ban was simply to give an american player a spot in the pug i joined for. My portuguese flag was probably flying too high that day.

To conclude: keep racial and countries out of your insults or you will be banned for it. Its really that simple. Having trouble insulting without using these 2 topics? Then I guess your insults suck dick. And when your insults suck dick you get banned. That is all.
