Can we plz remove beefmonkey from the server map list.

Every time I've played BEEF-Monkey there was a lot of wawa before the map started and maybe some misplaced blame/frustration towards the map while playing it; but it always seems like by the time the map ends, everyone is having a lot of fun. We played it last night and despite the fact that most people think it isn't competitive, it required a lot of teamwork to seal the caps and return the flags. It got pretty intense at least a few times. And it can be frustrating when not everyone knows how to play it, sure, but it's a fun map, plain and simple. While it may not fit the mold most people have grown into, it's only as competitive as the players make it.

beefmonkey is a lot funnier to play than all the actual crap maps like acrony, bleak, brokenfailmits, sprinta...

if a map that averages 20 grabs a map is on the pugging list i don't see why we can't have something on the opposite side of the spectrum.

actually i have some idea. Take a look at the first stats in the bmonkeystats jpeg, lol.

I was drawn to this game by by all the user made content. Mods and maps providing unique and diverse gameplay. I think that time has come and gone. The community has stagnated. It's laughable how hard people cling to shit. TimTIm has delivered a quality product in newnet, but people shun it for being a little different than what they're used to. Boycott and bitch instead of adapting.

20 minutes to click. I was first on the server voting beef monkey, telling them to vote the captains pick. Ended up voting for grendel because no one but pete would vote what the blue captain wanted. That's a solid 40 minutes of grendel by the way, took 20 minutes to get everyone to vote.

Also, sponge is the most useless admin i've ever seen. This is one of many occasions where sponge does absolutely nothing to get the pug started. He'll spectate both maps but won't sub in to keep the pug alive.

I think the map pool should be bigger. There's a time and team for everything, even that wretched piece of scandi. I've made a lot of unplayable maps, but I don't consider bmonkey to be one of them. I'm certain it's the best thing i've made yet. I support its removal though. Never asked paco to put it in the league, and I asked him to take it out completely when it was announced it was the only map not eligible for playoffs. It's either playable, or not. This competitive/not competitive shit is stupid. People seem to think the definition of the word is subjective, it isn't. What they ought to say is I hate the map. I don't even care about their reasoning. The boosters moo, lol.

There was 4 new maps added this season, 3 worked quite well .. 1 didnt, I don't see that as stagnating

Beef-monkey its self.. I think most people didnt give it a fair chance because of the way you "sabotaged" it your self windigo.. yes things like the mooing bounce pads and the ridiculous name effect how people think about maps, When i first saw it i thought it looked a pretty cool base to build from with some nice innovative ideas, But i dont feel like you went in the right direction with it nor listened to peoples complaints which was its downfall imo.

I'll admit I have warmed up to Beefmonkey a little bit now. It's impossible to play seriously though.

The map is the most capture-the-flag oriented map we have in my opinion. You have to play D as a team, you have to play O as a team. Communication is essential. It is reasonable to cap, and losing a cap doesn't mean the end of the world. Flag standoffs are actually fun and exciting, they can be played a million different ways.

I think what people really hate about it is the DiamondSword-like long distances, people hate aiming and shooting people really far.

haven't seen you do better. I'd keep beefmonkey for sure.

Why not have 2 different map pools for dev and reg matches? Bleak/spirit/grendel etc would be fine in dev matches...

Personally I don't think it being enclosed would change the 'feel' of it - I feel like there is simply a layer too many.
Theres low (where the boots are). Mid the 'main layer'. One above mid (where you get to with the bounce pads in the middle - the height of the flags). High (the 'roof').
(I have no idea what else to call it lol).

If the only 'high' bit would be the sniper bit behind each base - so that you could not stand on the sides/middle roof and just shoot at everything - it would be possibly funnest map at ut.
