A few suggestions have been made and are seemingly highly supported throughout the community, yet no effort by admins has been made to implement or even test out these suggestions. By all logic, these suggestions would vastly improve the quality and quantity of pugs in #ipug.
1) Limit nomics to either 1 or 2 per pug. I feel 1 is sufficient, but 2 could be implemented for a sense of "fairness" (even though it is usually a lower tier player that is nomic). Very easy to implement and very easy to enforce. There are only a select few who regularly nomic, so it would not impact the majority of the community, and for those few, it retains their ability to pug.
2) Decrease the click-in time to 5 or 7 minutes and strictly enforce this rule with a 24h ban. Server query and screenshot is sufficient evidence for the ban, so it is easily enforced (unlike chasing) and once people get the clue that it is strictly enforced, they will shape up. Add a rule that captains must choose the map by 5 minutes or a little earlier so the map is ready and everyone can click in by the enforced time.
3) This one is a little more questionable but is easily implemented as well. 1 map pugs. Same rules as above, but just 1 map. Many people enjoy TDM pugs because they are quick and easy. If there is a quick and easy iCTF pug option, it will most definitely be utilized. No harm in testing it out, either.
All of these options were discussed in other threads and all of them were seemingly ignored by admins. There's no good reason for this. Every one of these can be implemented in a matter of 5 minutes. Why not aim to improve the quality of pugging?
