#iPug Servers

Postby PACO » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:31 am

This thread is to gauge overall contentedness with the servers. I'm looking for full community feedback. How do you ping? And how do they run for you? Active players should be able to give more up-to-date feedback since there has been quite a few server shuffles in the past six months. I personally have received overwhelmingly positive feedback however certain individuals are positive that the servers are lackluster. Now is the time to voice your opinions.

If anyone has server provider suggestions, I would be willing to look into/consider them when replacing or adding more servers.

IP 1&2 are exactly the same for me, pinging about 145-160F6 most of the time, while pinging 125-130F6 on IP6. I get absolutely no packlet loss between the three. Only problem I get is constant zp bugs, but that is more to do with my connection than anything else. Don't really understand the negativity I see sometimes from 1/2 being picked, to be honest.

They are good - sometimes. But if someone offers to donate other servers from other hosts, that is optimal in my opinion. Having a more broad selection enables captains and teams to pick the servers they prefer. Not everyone will prefer the same servers. Different players will have different routes that connect to each server, so it is entirely unique as far as each individual connection. The only downside of more choices might be that a couple might not be picked - if they aren't picked, it isn't a real loss when the server is donated.

All the servers are great, i live far from every single one and i have yet to complain about any of them.
If your gonna complain stop being such a nickelback and stop your whining cause im sure for the every 1 "bad" server, theres at least 5 other good ones

ip1: 150-160ms f6
ip2: 139ms f6

If I'm not mistaken, those two are in the same datacenter, which makes it weird that I ping lower on ip2. Packets/sec are stable on both servers.

ip6: 170ms f6

I've played on ip10 (I think) once, but I can't remember the ping I had.
