Last pick subs

Postby Steel » Tue Aug 19, 2014 4:23 pm

Can we please develop some type of rule to evaluate who subs last picks or even 8/9th picks? I just ragequit a pug and was banned (rightfully so) due to a first pick subbing a last pick and there being essentially no suitable trade to fix the teams. There is zero chance that there was not a more suitable sub at the time this pug happened, in fact said sub joined before the server was even filled. This has been almost a daily thing for me and my patience is just about tissue paper thin. I realize this may put more burden on admins, but that is your role. I'm just sick of having pugs like the one I just mentioned and this one http://www.globalunreal.com/utstats/?p=match&mid=39695 that turn about 20-40 minutes into a complete waste of time.

I figured there already was a rule, but it needs to be enforced stronger. That was two pugs in which an admin was in the pug and was apparently unaware of its existence.

So much trolling that it required a double post.

This happens almost every day, I think a lot of it needs to sit on the opposing teams captain though. If the sub isn't fair, don't agree to it, don't click in.

If that means the pug dies because there is no one else to sub, or there is no trade to be made then so be it. It's better then wasting an hour on a pointless pug isn't it?

A few weeks ago I got banned by rain for subbing a middle ranged guy on the opposite team from him. He had an sdom match to play. Everyone including rain clicked in, after we won i was banned there after. I think it's safe to assume had rain won, I would not have been banned. As in this case me subbing prevented the pug from dying.

My point is that it needs to be more cut and dry, if your captain/team doesnt agree to the sub and a trade cant be worked out don't just click in and ban based on the outcome of the game.

So I'm in agreement it needs to be enforced more, but it needs to be done so in the right way.
