Should UT nicks match IRC nicks

Anybody else been in an iPUG where you go in server and you have no idea who anybody is, or who's missing? Make life a bit easier and just have 1 or 2 nicknames maximum for IRC + UT + TS.

I agree and disagree. The only time that I dislike aliasing is when people mislead their identity but I can see how others can be annoyed. I'm guilty of playing with an assortment of ridiculous names. Perhaps it doesn't bother me as much because I can always tell who is who via ping/flag/play style.

I also agree with Feisar. Ya most of the time I can tell who people are but it is annoying when people constantly change nicks .

tbh, aliasing in game has only affected me when it's same name and same skin.
in irc, some alias not getting picked first,second, or third, will certainly fuck a pug. (when whois doesn't reveal em - not all of us have IP lists at our disposal...)

Ive always thought its major pain with people using different nicks all the time. Drunken senile people like myself have no clue who people are. I guess its ok though since most people know echother and can identify them for me on ts during pug, but still annoying to ask every pug who people are. I wouldnt mind a nick rule to make it easier for us to identify eachother. Not a big issue though so im fine with whatever... ill just keep asking every pug who people are. You guys must think im a complete retard after +100 pugs and i still dont know all the aliases.

obviously everyone CAN eventually figure out who's aliasing when they look at pings and flags...your not special or some smart ass nickelback guru because u can figure it out...and don't act like we can't figure that out either...most of us just can't be assed figuring out every single nickelback ass fucking time we join a pug to do: a.)DOUBLE check the pug list to see who joined b.) Double Check the pings c.) Double check the flags EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME to see who's who. Stick with one name plz....isthx

I think aliasing is pretty retarded as well. If you constantly use the same nick and its different than your irc name thats fine, but random aliases aren't that funny and shouldn't be allowed.
