Bans/Ban Evasion/Ban Facilitation.

Eg. 24hrs will become 48hrs, starting from the time that the ban was evaded. If you feel that you were unfairly banned, the appropriate course of action is to make a case to the admin staff, not to evade.
The rules and ban times are not set up to be punitive or draconian. Relax.. take the 12 or 24hrs off. Extended ban times will only be doled out to the worst of the community offenders who ruin pugs and have no consideration for the game or the community. I personally have been keeping track of the bans for the past five months, if you have a good record, you're a lot more likely to be cut some slack.
Evading long term bans: The IJ rule.
Time served on your ban will be reset and you will need to serve it all over again.
Example: IJ was banned for 1 year in August. He would have been eligible to play pugs again at the end of August 2012, had he stopped trying to alias into pugs. IJ being the clever fellow that he is, decided to try and pass himself off as Inflames today. The result? IJ is back to square one. IJ will be eligible for re-admittance into the community and pug channel starting January 1st, 2013. Congratulations on flushing five months and almost half of your ban down the drain.
Facilitating a ban evasion: The heltah rule.

Had he also been authed as Inflames; Inflames would have been culpable and received a ban. Facilitating a ban evasion for a player currently banned for cheating/laming will result in a 2-12 week ban and it will be based on admin discretion.
Earlier in the fall, heltah tried to make a comeback and tunneled through Texas while pretending to be dial. He used dials auth which raises the question, was dial complicit in this scheme? Dial has dropped out of the UT scene and will be questioned if he returns. Just like IJ; heltah has postponed his summer return by a few months.
TL;DR Please abide by the rules. Do not ban evade. Do not facilitate ban evasion.
