Duku?

This isn't going to be one of my better suggestions, it's going to get a lot of hate, so lez go.

Remove Duku from the map list for the next iCTF season IMO (even if it's only just that one). Duku is a horrendously over-played map and a safe bet for any team to play... 'cause it's Duku.
It's oh so often a 1-0 map, easy to defend with two, nevermind three or four, easier to DM mid (hi JYB, you still need to learn to do it properly btw) and it's just so boring to see over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over in PUGs etc.

Add a few random maps to the list, put people out of their comfort zone, make 'em worry, bring excitement back.

Is it the most popular map because everyone actually loves it or is it the most popular because it's Duku? EVERYONE can play Duku, as I said, it's a safe bet to fall back on.
Duku's one of my best maps and I'm confident against absolutely anybody there. Did you only read the "remove Duku" part?

seren's argument is basically that Duku is now a crutch.

New map pack is a good idea. But who will make it? It needs at least 4/5 maps...

Already asked to add some well known ut2k4 maps as CTF-Switchback, but it also needs a portage.

Lets go one step further, next season lets only have new maps. No maps from last season return. Yeah, a lot of the new maps would probably be shit but it would be an interesting dynamic. Flame on!

The maps don't have to be edits or newly created maps. Just maps that weren't on last seasons list.

comparatively speaking i would be better off picking other maps than duku, since i would be better at some others than the other people in the pug

as you've said, anyone can duku

duku is just fun to play

it's also the only map i can play nomic and not have my team running around like headless chickens, or having to solo team



add more maps, old and new and captain up if you want to play them
