I think changing the font of the kill and event messages is a colossal waste of time and adds nothing to the video. Otherwise good vid.

Masking frag messages/capturing without font is only important when you intend to use motion blur or other any other plugin/effect that will directly affect the messages. You can argue that you prefer a different font but i personally think it looks worse (at least that font ).
Also some clips you appear to use sharpen effect to improve the image quality but I also think it looks worse when you do. It would be much better when you take the long run and seek for really good rendering settings instead

The "sharpening" only looks bad with the HD textures. I agree about the messages stuff. If you aren't applying any effects that would affect it in any way, then there is no need for it. It takes a lot of time to do, it's tedious as fuck, and doesn't really add much (if anything) to the video.

About the kill msgs: When I use hudcleaner to remove things like the msgs in the upper left and the weapon switch msgs and stuff, it also removes the kill msgs. I haven't found a way around this, so I don't know how to keep the original kill msgs without also keeping other annoying msgs.

Also, there are some (somewhat subtle) color and "film-look" effects on this vid, which would affect kill msgs too if I kept them on.

Re vitz and Sonic: There's no sharpen effect on this video, and these are HD textures. I'm not sure why you guys are talking about the sharpen effect, as I haven't used it in any of my recent vids. Are you referring to this video or another one?
