High Accuracy

What is everyone's thoughts on high accuracy? Obviously a better player will shoot a higher acc but not always. For example, players like Pete who are constantly hitting 40 acc tend to hold their shot in until they know they will hit. Other players who still perform well might hit around 25-30 acc with an occasional higher acc game. For example, I've seen Paco hit over 120 frags under 30 acc many times and I've seen Convict get around 25 acc many times and still play very well. Is accuracy mainly determined by ones style of play?

bunch of players like paco/ds/rain they don't shoot 40 acc, all about who makes shots when it counts. i shoot higher acc, i don't try too, just how i play i guess.

there are players that get pretty stats every pug, and then there are players that win.

I consider myself pretty clutch (ie. able to shoot 4 shots and hit 4 guys while running backwards in mid with the flag) and i never shoot more than 23 or 24 acc. I spam a lot and I'm still normally in the top 3 in frags.

Acc is just another stat that doesn't really matter, but to some people its a mental note. I watched XPOHb shoot 9 acc once and had 3 caps and got a monster kill cover for the teams 4th cap.

Pete has a triggerbot but most people just hold their shot ^-^

more a play style thing or sure, although higher acc is obviously going to be a plus , its more of a 'personal stats' imo

i don't believe u have to shot 40 acc to be an autowin, however if ur playing a map like rainbase, duku.. maybe 40 acc will single handedly win u the game if your defense. but lol. It changes how some people play. some will shoot for acc and if they get too far away and they dont want to fuck acc up they will try to get closer and by then its too late. acc used to be all i cared about

I don't hold my shot AT ALL and I average 42ish accuracy. I do shoot a lot, more than most in the server a lot of the time. It's the spam that brings a lot of people's down imo, I never, ever spam.

Id rather not wait. If I see a person I shoot and spam until I get them. If your waiting to get your shot in, you might not get it in at all right? Ive always been in the twenties without trying to withold my shots. I don't understand how someone could be in the lower tens though. That would be 1/10 of the shots. You would have to be spamming and missing constantly. Or holding down your mouse button.

positioning is one of most important things in the ut's people just stand in the dumbest places sometimes

I'm with KA here, I spam tons and boost, usually average around 32. If I played like Pete or Serenity I'm sure I'd be over 40. BUT I DON'T LOLZ.

i've been all over the place from 20 to 43 acc but usually average a little under 30

like its been said before its mainly about making the clutch shots.. spawning and awareness play a big role on d... played games against 3 players who usually shoot 30-45 acc and still held them off so its one part of the game

Playing smart is the best thing you can do. I shoot generally 30-40's. If I would hold my shot I could shoot 40's at every map. I look at consistency over accuracy. I'd easily take a player like DS over alot of people that here and there shoot 40's cuz they hold their shot. When the time comes that they need to make clutch plays and hit targets they can't do it. Or if they play maps that you need to shoot quick + accurate (klondike) they suck ass at. Positioning yourself where you can make the shot before others is the best thing you can do. I have seen Serenity hold high duku d with only 60 frags lol. I think the only time acc is a little more important is if it is open. Watch the best players play and you would see they position themselves, which alot of times sets the apart from others.

Accuracy is a great indicator to reference to only yourself to determine whether or not you are making progress. You can't compare one player directly with another player and determine which one is better based off the accuracy they are shooting. I think a more important indicator would be a.) how many frags does that person get in a map? b.) How many covers does that person get? c.) How many flags does this person bring to mid?

The nice thing about accuracy when you use it to compare to your own performance is everyone has their own playstyle. Some people like to hold their shots in, others like to spam and boost. But if you compare your OWN accuracy from one pug playing duku defense to another pug playing defense on duku, you can get a ROUGH idea of whether or not you are playing to your average, above average or below average accuracy. I typically like looking at my accuracy after I know I played like shit and when I go to look, I'll validate it by seeing that I shot below 30acc and it will just reassure me that I did have a bad game and it's not just in my head(same could be said in the exact opposite scenario with high accuracy)

ive had great games with 28 acc .. ive had awesome games with 35 acc. its all about doing good at the position ur playing.. Acc is a nice thing to know what it is. but honestly. the only time ppl really care about acc or should. is if there having an off game and it can show how off you are from ur normal level..
