best monitor i've owned

if you have a micro center (awesome computer store) by you, you can pick up all the supplies from there for a relatively cheap price

$1500 will get you a pretty damn good computer even if you include monitor. Personally, I would wait until g-sync comes out before I got a new monitor at this point. Definitely get one of the 144hz monitors, it makes a huge difference.

get this one instead of the asus, nice deal and better colors

asus one is better if you're going for g sync though.

yeah rick, after looking into the VG248QE it's amazing how unanimously positive the reviews seem to be. def going with it.

going back to the youtuber sunny suggested, i was going to go with the majority of components he used for his $1000 build http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CfP2ZcPxcU . im noticing he mostly doesnt use nvidia gpus. i suppose this is the main way he saves on the bottom line of each, aside from never including things like disc drives, os, etc.

this is what he used in the build. any input regarding alterations is appreciated.

thanks again sunny, i too was going to go with the gtx 760 since it seems to have the best performance for the ~250 price range. i was thinking of going with the msi rather than the evga. thoughts?

just found out you can can an extra 10% off of everything on newegg by typing promo code MASTERPASS so newegg might be the way to go. You need to use the masterpass method of payment(free to sign up for).

im not to sure about msi vs evga but evga has never failed me

Difference between EVA and MSI is their customer support, usually have the same build.

if you have a little more money to spend i'd say get an i7k since it'll be a while that anything will be better than that. But i5-4670k works out well too, the new radeon series came out too so you might wanna check that out
