i dont know about other people but i havent voted yet ..wanted to test the maps first :)

but so far -imo-

Malevolence ran well wasnt too spawnheavy but was high fragging good addition.

Tempest was ok but a couple of the spawns are just too far from the action

Thursday was a little too big for my liking and no central area it was better for lms than idm

Cityzen is a fun map but i guess alot of the americans/canadians wont be familiar with it ..probably getting my vote atm.

yet to try agio pahgio and seraphim in idm though.

Stalwart should be the first map since it was last in KOTR II. Deck was last in KOTR I and moved to first in KOTR II, in KOTR III I think deck should be somewhere in the middle. Tempest should be added in addition to another new map imo, and I think malevolence will be better than Viridian was.

i really like seraphim due to the height, it also doesn't seem to promote camping, people may actually have to go and seek out targets, rather than posting up in a corner or near a box and just shooting.

Seems the maplist doesn't have a lot of height to it.

everyone already have an idea who will be the top10, because those players know how to spawnkill, so why not try a nonspawnkill aka searchanddestroy map to see how they handle it? maybe we can have a suprise ..dunno...

i still like bloodyblocks adultcinema and...forwhomthebelltolls (fix the one spawn n good!) .

Viridian/Liandri is/was a shit show and shouldn't ever be considered again...

rest of the maps i'm content with...agio and thursday are good choices too.

I changed my vote to seraphim. It really is a good map, with a lot of interesting angles. It requires you to move from area to area, and map knowledge plays a vital role in maximizing your FPH. Stalwart has the least intricate game strategy that I've ever seen in ut. Aim at spawns until someone shoots at your back. When you die, turn a corner and head to the nearest designated fragging spot. zzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz. Curse is even worse because it's the same strategy, but the map design is worse because you need to run farther to get back to the action (but only sometimes, depending on luck). To it's benefit, there is a lot more y-axis aiming around the elevator pit.

I know it's just a for-funsies tournament, which is why I like to see interesting maps making it in. I personally think situational awareness and map knowledge is a very underrated aspect of fragging. Putting 10 guys in two rooms kind of detracts from those aspects. May as well declare the winner "The Deadliest Lemming".

So.. the most popular map.. a map that most of the people who pug itdm regularly want to see in ..you want to remove it ?
Everyone just wants the tournament tailored to suit them selves rather than having a varied maplist with a mix of the most popular/played maps and a couple new ones.. personally id just like to see a mix of different styled maps, as long as they're not to slow paced.

It's a shame we cant add another round in somewhere to get another map in tbh.

Whichever map has the most votes will be added to the maplist, accomplishes that atleast.. as for the map order that could change too. ;)

yea, we do. The spawns are horrendous and it belongs nowhere near a competitive atmosphere(maybe 1v1, but certainly not with TEN players). I've made peace with the fact that it will stay though because noobies like to spawn kill and the spawn zones on the map are about as bad as it gets. Curse on the other hand is even worse and NO ONE fuckin likes it, so what the hell is it even doing on the maplist at all let alone as the finals?

Stal XL is the best iDM and iTDM map- Spawn killing is what makes instagib DM worthwhile. If it was just random search and shoot, it would suck- having individual "battles" b/w players is only interesting when you have more than one weapon. If I had my way, Liandri would still be in, as well. Cityzen is the best choice of the maps to be voted on. That's all I have to say thanks.

this shouldn't even be a discussion... This should be a voting thing. Each guy votes for 5 maps, the most voted ones stay, and the highest voting is the finalist.

This tournament is to appeal the masses, if it doesn't then its success won't be maximized.

Either way 4v4 iTDM / iCTF ALL THE WAY NIGS :mrgreen:
