How didn't i read this thread before?

I'll be getting my new computer next week, and i have to say: it is VERY similar to yours! Even though i didn't know about this thread before ordering mine. Good choice on the CPU. The i7 clearly doesnt payoff for the price. On the graphics card i went a little higher, for a GTX 670.

I'll post some more info and pics next week. =)

The GTX 670 is pretty baller. I did however read something about the 600 series having lifespan issues but it was supposedly dismissed. Not 100% sure.

I opted to get this monitor:

This review convinced me: http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/elect ... eview.html

Relatively little input lag and ghosting + 120hz + Samsung + the picture quality seems a lot better than many of the other competing 120hz monitors. Almost rolled with the BenQ xl2420t but I read that it was customized for CS and that Quake/twitch shooters were complaining about fast-paced blurring.

Dark-horse monitor that I was considering was: http://120hz.net/forumdisplay.php?8-Yam ... tleap-Club

There was a special panel for these monitors that can be overclocked to 100-120hz depending on ones video card. Input lag is low but response time is weak. It's 2560X1440, 27" IPS and straight out of Korea. If anyone is interested in getting on of these, the next wave of sales will be announced around the beginning of July. Last time, they sold out within the hour.

Got the SSD, will take pics. It's great for boot times, glad I got one and can't wait for 500gb+ SSDs to come down in price.
