Popular, high quality mouse pads include:

- Steelseries Qck (cloth)
- PureTrack talent (cloth)
- Steelseries Icemat (glass)
- Func Surface (hard plastic)
- Razer Goliathus (cloth)

There are many more, of course- ph34r's mouse pad looks especially cool.

My impression is that hard pads (like glass and plastic) seem to offer better "glide," while soft pads (cloth) seem to offer a little more "control" (much less slippery).

The puretrak talent is awesome as long as it's still new. Gets a bit worse when worn off but still good.
I have a Goliathus too for like ever now and it's still cool.

Razer vespula, you can add in the wrist rest but you're also able to remove it if you don't like it.
It's a pretty nice mousepad in comparison to the goliathus wich i had before, the only disadvantage is that the vespula is smaller, but still good enough for me to play UT99 / SC2 / LoL :)

So much technical shit.

Serenity checklist

- Does mouse disconnect when 180? No
- Does "this" sens feel fine for 180? Yes
- Is it smooth? Yes
- Does it feel comfortable? Yes

That's literally all I'm bothered about. I change DPI/HZ randomly and go into a server, 180 'til I like it and stick to it.
Win.

New settings with new mouse since my G500 died:

Logitech G400
800 X Axis
650 Y Axis
1000 Hz
5 Pointer Speed
0.71 UT Speed
Just noticed, I apparently have "Enhance Pointer Precision" ON, not gonna question it since I'm hitting well.

\o

SJA94, dude... put your mouse up top, that's what I've done:

5700 dpi, 0.11 UT sens is the way of life, turns are np and the sens is still reasonably slow wich is perfect for me.

I guess using a higher resolution/refresh rate would make it faster

I've grown quite fond of my high sens :>

I prefer a cloth pad. Hard pads never worked very well for me.

Just got my replacement g400 and the # of the mouse is about 8 digits longer, definitely a 2nd gen. The cord is also a little shorter. They also strengthened the cord going into the mouse itself. It just seems better-made than the one it replaced.

Seems to track better too. :D
