Condolences to NUKE...

Hey all,

I don't know how many of you still talk to NUKE on a regular basis, but just thought I'd give you a heads up.

For the people who knew him and played with him, you'd have known his father (JaSs^).

I've just learn't that his father passed away today (29.1.14) quite abruptly from what I've read.

I know most of you regard the kid a troll, but I would at least think as a community, people would like to pay their respects to Brett.

I personally knew JaSs and played a lot with him, chatted on ts - he was a good guy and he definitely didn't agree with Brett playing WoW all the time.

RIP mate.

Thanks for sharing ramdrop, i didn´t even know jass was nuke´s father (thought he only had a daughter that also played ut99). Enjoyed the few games and chats on ts with him. Rip Jass, condolences to your loved ones.

Very sad news. From my few encounters with JaSs, he always seemed like a standup dude. I know that a lot of us have petty online squabbles but news like this really humanizes the fact that there is someone on the other side of the screen. RIP to JaSs and my sincerest condolences to NUKE.

I knew Jass outside of UT as we used to chat a lot on irc and talk on ts, he was such a nice guy and fun to talk with (heavy British accent we had some good laughs).

Had very few conversations with him and were all to either ask for a uk server or wake nuke up from his beauty sleep.

Always available and ready to help. He helped UT on CB when there weren't many servers to use.

It is a shame he is no longer with us to jibbate.

Always strange when something happens like this.

Many of you won't know 0d|n, he was a Norwegian player and played for Warrior Souls ( }WS|nick ) - standevil's clan.

He went away for a while and we later heard that he died due to cancer related issues, what hits hardest is how recently long ago you spoke to those people.

I'm still looking for details, but feel that I should not ask.

I don't know why people took Nuke's trolling seriously to begin with.. I actually looked up to NUKE he was like a "Floyd Mayweather Jr'" the way he spoke. The thing that bothered me was that I've seen people attacking NUKE many times on MIRC and when he just insults them back to defend himself he gets banned instead of them... But anyways enough about NUKE, R.I.P to your dad "uK|Jass" and I wish you and your family all the best! My thoughts go out to you and your fam!
