UT2004 netcode/zp/newnet?

Postby iMpure » Tue Aug 12, 2014 3:54 am

Hi guys and girls.

I was thinking as i played some UT2004 TAM on a usa server with "netcode/zp/newnet". (Thanks RJ)
I was playing it and its pretty awesome actually.
At least it was very smooth and very playable even with a 150 ping.
I was thinking if it is possible to implement the same thing in insta and perhaps do the same as what has been done with ut99 here?

Because i know there a plenty of highpingers in europe that kinda refused to play insta because all games were simply played on a central european server where Dutch and German people have massive advantage over most people.
it kinda scared them all away.
And since clanbase is gone we could use something to pick it up again.

If anything if you US people know some more netcode/zp/newnet servers in the US with regular instagib (not the modified versions) perhaps.. then feel free to post them so i can try them out.

For clarification, this post refers to the european ut2004 scene (using newnet in european 2k4 servers like we use in both the 99 and 2k4 communities in NA). I didn't understand it at first.

Post on the forums and see what you can find out. void made the mod and I believe he made efforts to get newnet done for instagib. He owns that website, so that would be your best route.
