Help me (Got a new mic)

I am getting no sound right now. Is it because I have my speakers, and the green cord of my mic plugged in? I mean I actually do get sound for awhile. When I open ut I get sound. (From my speakers) When I go into a server all my sound stops. If I run itunes I'll get into a song for about 22 seconds and then itunes will not work anymore. No matter how much times I will press pause and play. The sound turns silent. What should I do.

*Also I played on combogib. Half way through the sound just died. It dissapeared from my volume mixer. =/

I cannot use my mic without both the pink and green things plugged in. And yes my mic works. Now my sound doesnt. Please help!

The green plug is audio output.. So you're either going to get sound through your speakers or through your mic headphone, unless you get a splitter.

The mic itself should work with just the pink plug connected.

All I had to do was unplug the green one, and restart
