FOV + Crosshair style

Postby IJ`` » Thu Nov 29, 2012 4:17 pm

Hello there,

I'm always trying new settings lately, so I was wondering what most ppl use as for crosshair style and FOV ?

Always been using either the old dot at 3,0 scale or the fat + at 1,3 with a FOV 90,

Now trying FOV 80 with that crosshairstyle :

I like it so far but not usre I'm gonna stick with it ...

I have been playing around with crosshair settings also, atm using the fat cross @ 1.3 fatness @ fov 80 @ 800x640.

bleh crosshair, with 100 fov. I also normally use 1.0 scaling in ACE, but this screenshot is taken in singleplayer:

I thought you could only use default crosshairs on ace servers. The few i tried didn't work online.

Ive tested most of the crosshairs lately and I will finally stick with this one for now, green color at scale 1,7. I really like the largeness and the flat top from this one, it give me impression that close combats are easier to hit. The size and form of it makes angle shots a bit more difficult (like hitting d on sprinta) but I will get used to. Best use is for straigh shots, close combat and horizontal sweep. It give me consistant aiming for now and I recommand a try if you dont feel happy with your crosshair.

I didnt like the xhair(too shrink and I cant track it well).
I like the dot for precision but sometime ''overshoot''in close combat.
I like the default cross like nyu use, but I preferer the fat one +.
Crunk: Which one is Cronoscross ?

here you can see what it looks like on commands with FOV 85

That crosshair seems to work very well in long and short range combat, it feels like i am hitting better in close range, compared to the tiny dot.

A moving crosshair would just be a distraction more than anything imo.

Changed:
default crosshair.
default fatness.
default green.
fov 88.
65hz.
800x640.
