Strange UT issue

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue that I have with my UT recently and if you have, what was the fix. For some reason no matter what server I'm on when the map changes I will red box and lag on TS until either a) the map changes or b) my UT crashes. It's not an issue when joining a server only when the map changes. It also only happens in UT which seems odd to me, every other game I play I do not have a problem. I've asked a few people but still can't seem to find a solution.

Friend of mine had this problem for a long time. He had to reload UT after every single map played, because he'd just crash or lagout or both, or somethin.

There is a timeout setting in ace (if i remember). If its at 1 set to 0, if 0 set to 1, I forget which one fixed it for me.

Edit -

After looking at my shortcut I was modifying the wrong ini. I did see my keepalive set to 0.0 and I have now changed to 0.2 hopefully this will fix it. Thanks for the tips.

You can always delete the file and let it redownload in game if you want defaults.
