shitty laptop settings

Postby kud » Tue Sep 17, 2013 2:10 pm

going to see if i can make ut playable with my laptop. processor and ram are adequate. onboard video will be the bottleneck.
problem before was the brightness; far too dark while using opengl.
is d3d9 the best driver for a shitty laptop?
are there any settings i should optimize for clear and smooth gameplay?

another thread said to set
keepalivetime=0.0
swap interval=0
anything else?

will report on success

On my crap pc, the best performance I got was from direct3d9.

Settings that seem to work the best at low res <= 800x640

GammerOffsetRed=0.4;
OneXblending = false;
Dynamic lighting off;
world and skin low.

And at the end of my ut shortcut i have -cpuspeed <cpuspeed>, to stop frames from randomly dropping.
