The XL2411T he's talking about is probably the newer XL2411TE as it is called in America - they decided to call it the same as his predecessor in Europe (revision 2).
It has a new technology called ZeroFlicker and is generally at least as good as the Asus. So I guess it's the new way to go if you want a new monitor.
