I say get the BenQ, it's the same in terms of motionblur/response time as the ASUS but has far superior color accuracy if you care about that (still probably not even close to an IPS)

G/f ordered the Asus 144hz. Will be here next week. Think it's time I upgraded from 60hz so should be interesting.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, hope this monitor is worthwhile

Good choice btw, just a heads up.. don't enable that lightboost crap it makes it even worst and a waste of time... adds more input lags also. They say it's supposed to feel like a CRT's smoothness well it doesn't feel anywhere close to a CRT imo.

g-sync is a new technology to synchronize frames with monitor refresh rate instead of v-sync

Don't quote me on this but I don't think when it comes out G-Sync will work with that monitor - NVidia said the monitors will need a special chip in them to use G-Sync which that monitor probably doesn't have yet. And you need a 600+ series GPU too. Though I think there will be a DIY kit to make it compatible.

And Deepack LightBoost is supposed to reduce motion blur to make it look like a CRT, but it does introduce more input lag which CRTs don't have. People still say it's better for aim because you can see your target clearly even when you move your mouse extremely fast. G-Sync is rumored to support a modified version of LightBoost that will eliminate motion blur AND have the low input lag benefits of G-Sync.
