Shadows?! WTF

So I got a new video card. ASUS HD 7750. (before I had a 4650 lol)

I loaded up UT after the install and whoaoaaa. I've never seen so much mouse lag in my life.
Since then i've updated the OpenGL drivers and have been finding my groove using opengl. But I've noticed that the players have shadows all over them on certain maps....

The maps are bright as hell but the players are shadowy. This makes no sense to me why I randomly have shadowy players and I haven't been able to come up with anything useful online to fix. I have showdecals unchecked (off).

Since i know u use opengl - what do u have it as, IR?

If dynamic lighting is off, you won't see a flag glow. No flag glow = fail.

um ya.... so i guess i can't take sshots either... hrmm.
In game my UT is not this dark... you can still see that the bot closest to me is completely black....
in game characters are extremely shaded when there isn't a light nearby. some maps worse then others...

You need to turn show weapon off. Why weapon show is on you instinctively use you weapon to aim instead of your cursor and you become much lease accurate. You will play a little worse at first once you turn it of but once you get used to it your accuracy will improve.

Does it happen in any other games or just UT? Try a few different games to see. I have never seen that before or heard of that sort of issue ever.

under Videocards section. The only thing is that if the issue is simply with UT alone, idk what sort of help you will get there or anywhere. keep us posted

Shadows are directly related to Decals. Turn off Decals and shadows will be removed...FIN thread ty very much
