i'm realizing the 144hz wont even matter with newer games, might have to upgrade the gtx 760 now

should i even bother upping the i5 to an i7?

i'm not sli'ing or multi-monitoring of any sort, would be overkill no?

You picked a overclocker CPU and Mainboard but a standard CPU cooler. DDR3-1600 is the best choice for this CPU. I'd also go for a Western Digital Green since you already have a SSD. The 120GB on the SSD usually fill up pretty fast. You don't need a 650W PSU but it's fine. I'd also pick Win7 over Win8.

P.s. The non-overclocking option is a Intel Core i5-4440 or Intel Xeon E3-1230 v3 and a H87 Board.
