Any modern card with a dual link DVI output will do the job and run ut at over 144 fps.

If you want to run other modern games with that many fps, you'll want a high end card, but that's not really necessary.

Just try the games you would like to run on 144hz and check the FPS you get now with no fps limit/vsync. In UT just type "timedemo 1" in console.

If it's just for UT any basic video card will do, as long as it has dual link dvi.

You have to be more specific, ati radeon 5500 what are the last numbers? Also any card can run a 120/144hz monitor, but specifics of the card determines how much frames you'll be getting. But I'm sure any radeon over 5500 can get over 144 on ut99. A friend of mine had a HD5450 and it ran 120hz
