I have not been following NewNet lately. I know there's a 27-page thread going on it. Have not read through that one yet.

But as NN is now, would it be all right to use on, say, a public deathmatch NW server?
Does it work well with NW now? (last time I checked up on it, there were still big challenges when it came to use with NW)

I'm not looking for perfection. I just like the idea of having a server where basically everyone on the planet can play - and still feel they have reasonable latency.

Yeah the mod can't get much better than it is (and has been for as least 6 months). There's actually been a NewNet DM pub at 74.91.123.91 for a long time, seems to get random players a few times a day. The uK combogib (75.102.40.199) server also plays a lot of NewNet CTF, which is full almost 24/7. It would be awesome if you set up another active server though. If you do, post the IP and I'll come play some time!
