4444 has "darker" blacks I think, 16 bit looks more "greenish"

Hi all, same problem using Nvidia GTX 460.
I tried D3D9 16 bit textures, but really it's not the same as 4444 textures.
At least not for me.
And if I'm not wrong 4444 textures were only usable in opengl mode (gl version 2.7 max).
I read on another forum that 4444 textures worked fine with GTX 460.
Any of you using GTX 460 without problem?
If so, can you help me? :)
Thx in advance.
Regards,

I have been using 4444 textures for the last few days, get a few extra fps with them, they are great to use.
