I tested Direct Input using MarkC Fix last night...Had to tweak my mouse sensitivity a bit, but these were the results:

I used chicken's suggestion in that:

a.) use 500hz on mouse, use markc fix, and use direct input

Tweaked up my mouse sensitivity by lowering it slightly and I was very happy with the results.

I still have double crosshair problem, no bounced or missing shots recorded yet. Will be testing the next few days and determine if I will be keeping direct input

i tested 500 mhz yday after reading this and it felt amazing

theres a rumour out there that old mainboards cant handle the 1000 polling rate and that 500 should be more stable

dno if plazebo or not but it really felt better

mouserate can help you find out if your mouse is stable at the polling rate you're using. If you are sitting at 1000hz and it (mouserate) jumps around from 200 to 1000 to 300 to 980 then you should probably use 500 max.

edit - when you test it make sure you're moving the mouse as fast as you would flipping a 180. If you creep the mouse through the box you will get some funky reporting, at least I do.

DI is on (ATI). I tried DI off and it feels wierd for me. I use windows drivers for my mouse. If I use the software for my g9 then it's impossible to play.
