Why aren't my demos showing up in my Demo Manager?

My path is where my demos are and still nothing.

Make sure there are no spaces in the path name you store demos in.

It's the main systems directory for UT.

Make sure you have the right path ticked, in the Udemo menu path tab.

And just move the demos over to the file?

What do you mean? Just change the directory that it stores the demos to that new folder (either thru the demo manager ini or the in game demo manager panel).

Hm, I just noticed something. I spectated a pug couple days ago. No demos for that in my demo folder.. First time I noticed no auto demos? wtf

Maybe rusty is not crazy after all

Kinda odd. Never saw this happen before... I have 2 autodemos from a pug I spectated last week too. just not from couple days ago

Well I installed Windows 8 on my new pc and demo manager doesn't even run in Windows 8.

In PURE you could just type the command 'demostart' and it would start recording. This has the massive advantage that you can set a bind to start a demo. I've been wanting Tim to add this feature to newnet also, since I think it would be kinda handy. Having to type out 'demorec blabla' and then forgetting what demo was is really frustrating.

Demo format from UT pure demostart:

$yourname_[YYYY_MM_DD_HHMM]_$redteam_$blueteam_$mapname

e.g.:

The demostart command for UTPure was only present in UTPureRC7F and later. GlobalUnreal (newnet) is based on 7E because there were some bugs that were introduced in later versions of UTPure. I'll probably have another version ready within the next week and I'll copy the demostart command over from 7F for the new one.

I'm having trouble with some older demos that I've backed up. Haven't done any trouble shooting yet, but has anyone had demos hang at a blank screen when trying to play them? It's as if it will play, but then hangs at the logo screen with "Connecting" in blue.
