Some/most of you will be aware that the ipug now advertises in the public instagib servers UK & US.

I suppose in a sense it allows you "know" state of play at 'ipug without needing to be at the IRC.

I was wondering whether you guys have seen any benefits or newcomers? Is it actually helpful to some of you to know there is a pug and player count required?

The first day after you set up the connection, we had a pug with four new guys.

They were 2k4/UT3 IG players and after talking with them, I'd say that we have a pretty good chance at keeping some of them around. Lots of new people have been stopping through and it's awesome. Lots of oldies come through and don't know where the competitive scene is at and the advertisement is a perfect way to let them know and it helps us retain the player-base.

Yeah this new promote functionality is awesome! I tested it out from a pubber's POV then typed !ipug in chat as it suggested and it worked beautifully. I can see it really increasing awareness of all the cool things we have brewing here at GU.

That's really encouraging to hear and it's good that the pubbers are being made aware of the competitive scene now. Even better that they are participating. It's all about conversion now and keeping the newcomers at #ipug to stick around

Were there any other functionality you guys wanted adding?

SAM.. can you make so that if someone back shoots in the pug and if I type !punch the player gets punched in the face?
If anyone can do it.. you can. Maybe Tim can help you with this...

Still need some rules set so most ipuggers don't go in the pubs laming it up because most don't believe in rules they just come in and deathmatch/spawncamp ass run base to base hiding in corners and shit I'll be watching and I'll also be banning I don't give a shit who you are.

Maybe when I get back home I'll set up some rules for everyone to abide by in the US/UK servers tired of seeing puggers lame and constantly breaking rules.

There are still 3 or 4 banned....the bans can be removed if you guys assure me that you won't DM or assrun. All we are asking for is for you to play CTF. That's it

Will do Paco I know it was off topic but wanted to throw that out there. The reason why I say "Ipuggers" because most that come in are the ones that are doing it I dunno if they are meaning to break rules or just don't know that their are rules but I could label them individually but I expect more from those people to know what is right and wrong and to respect the rules that are on the servers not all are bad but there are a lot to keep up with and that are breaking the rules constantly.

I'm glad this UK + GU has come together it will help out both communities and provide more activity. It's good to see more people pugging hopefully I can pug by this weekend and see who has shown up from the publics.

I play CTF whenever I go into pubs and I still get banned.. Including UK servers

TimTim mentioned briefly recently the pugbot has changed. Can someone send me the script please so we can update the .promote for iCTF

g0v did update the snitch recently, but I'll need to do one more thing to make it work properly. I'll try to get around to it this weekend. Thanks for reminding me!
