Australian servers are playable with newnet, even with 360-410 ping. No need for 20 ping anymore :p.

I've asked for NN a few times so we can use a euro server when there's a majority euro pug

I good number of euros won't play in ipug because of packet loss/high ping and general lag which NN can only go so far as to compensate for

I can understand how some SA/NA guys would get the same pl and high ping on a euro server, but it's all give and take and a pug with 7/8 euros should have the option to play with under 100 ping each

look, i understand why some people are asking for these servers, but they're not looking at the big picture. NY is a fairly centrally located server option for Canada/North America/South America & Mexico/Europe.

Rifts WILL be created in terms of pugs etc once you go down the road of multiple locations and God only knows matches..

What about attracting more players to the community?

once they play here they could find they like it and will be more willing to play on NY servers in regular pugs

for majority euro pugs, the likelihood of the other player(s) having over 150 ping is quite low and even then NN should enable them to play fine in most situations

competition wise there's no need to change the current setup, as having fixed servers removes a lot of the BS arguments that arise due to server selection

the possibility of more similar ping isn't worth the extra hassle in that case

plus there are more mods than 5v5ictf to consider

1v1/2v2 ctf don't get a lot of attention(1v1 is gone?)

sniper is dead, with only 3-4 guys who regularly want to play it, a few months ago we could have attracted enough guys to make sniper active(not as much as ictf) only from 2-3 old euro clans

let me point out that meqza / djanko / freeze / swis is not dutch, he's from the french speaking belgium side and that is something entirely different and definately not dutch in any fucking way.

I personally think that getting a server from Euroland would tear things apart from how its going now, keep everything how it is.
The servers are fine for euro's and i enjoy playing here, hence my euro friends ping about 100 wich is just optimal with newnet?

NY servers obviously with newnet is all fine. Most euro players ping 100-120 with a tad amount of PL sometimes (1-2% mostly, not everyone has this issue) and it's fully playable. Newnet makes this feel as if it's 60 ping F6. Keep everything as it is now, which you guys are anyway. Over and out...

One thing to note, while most Euros ping 100-120ish to NY servers. Most North Americans, except those living in NY, ping 150+ to NL servers. And dont even start on SA

I've touched down on this topic at least a dozen times. It's nice to see that more and more people can see the bigger picture. Things are going great and getting even better.. I don't plan on disrupting that.
