I've had a few people pm me requesting new mods such as domination and jailbreak. Although we're planning on adding new stuff slowly in order to establish assault, I'm still gauging interest as to what to add next.

I know domination has a long history of competition and jailbreak seems like it would be more fun in weaps than ig. If we somehow figured out a good rocket arena format I could picture that being fun too.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Domination would be a great addition. whitechocakagod would pug it every day and at the moment he's on a 5yr losing streak so he will want to remedy that. It's ready to go for all of the servers but I think that getting a strong maplist would be important. Darth also supposedly has a group of dom players so we could bring in a decent amount of new guys to #uPug.

JB looks awesome but I see it being more of a novelty than a legit gametype. Could still provide some major luolz. LMS could also be fun but not a serious gametype. Not totally related to the thread but I'm really digging Assault. It's a hidden gem that can hopefully have some life pumped back into it.

It's a bit ambitious but I think we should be running some big tourneys in all of these gametypes (ala KOTR and SOTF). Should be an interesting summer.

Rocket Arena would be an interesting addition.

Rocket arena (as it is) would be difficult to pug since most maps are only 1v1/2v2. If they would do more maps like the two that have Deck and Liandri as team arena's it could definitely be feasable.

DOM should definitely be the next mod added.

I don't see Rocket Arena as being a pugging mod. Jailbreak could maybe be a pug, but as PACO said, I see it more as a novelty than a legit gametype. I don't have much interest in either, personally.

DOM, however, would be definitely be a good addition. I think it might be best to wait until the community has really caught onto assault and learned the maps/tactics (this would include expanding the map list to the full AS map list in the future, I'm hoping), though. We'd also need better maps- I'm not sure how many of the standard weapons DOM maps would be pug worthy. I'm thinking TDM maps with control points added in the right places (probably different than the sDOM versions) could work nicely.

Did UT Rocket Arena not have Clan Arena style maps ?

Where they are big and are made for 5v5's and bigger ?

Dom and JB would both be fun in weapons imo.

What about flak ctf? Had some cups on CB where even instagib players had super fun. Small ctf maps, 6 players, no power ups, only bio/flak/rockets. I remember massive mayhem, huge amounts of grabs/caps even when playing vs weapons players.

Andaction : Lowgrav Rocketarena (no piston no trans no pu's)
Pureaction: as above

Some flak maps that i forgot the names of and a few more rocket maps, they also tried bio arena was less fun :d

That hockey map was awesome. Crouch caps!

Rockets, Flak, Goo, Trans, Piston with normal gravity and normal maps sounds fun to me.

There was some tournaments in eu for a while running those settings, its sounds terrible but its actually quite fun:P
