I initially complained about this mod after testing it, calling it "hide and seek", but I realize now that the mod itself isn't the problem. It's exciting when you have 2 closely matched, aggressive players.
What concerns me are a few of the maps, especially liandri (deck and curse also, to a lesser extent).
Liandri was a 1-0 map in weapons 1v1 tourneys, mainly because of the sniper hallway/tower hiding place. If someone crouches up there with a lead, the only way to reach them is via that one staircase. The problem is, because of the nature of the position, the guy at the top usually sees the guy at the bottom first, and can easily retreat off the ledge if needed. He also has a nice supply of vials up there. Even if the attacking person takes the time to get 150 armor and a ton of vials, it won't matter if the guy at the top is also stacked and gets the first shot off.
Curse has a top area with a belt that is only accessible via 2 loud lifts, and deck has tons of hiding spots (some of which only accessible via boots, some stocked with vials, etc).
Just wanted to voice these concerns so that if they turn out to be a problem, they can be addressed in future tourneys. I hope I'm wrong and these maps play out better than I picture (depends a lot on the players ofc too).
