This happens almost every day, I think a lot of it needs to sit on the opposing teams captain though. If the sub isn't fair, don't agree to it, don't click in.
If that means the pug dies because there is no one else to sub, or there is no trade to be made then so be it. It's better then wasting an hour on a pointless pug isn't it?
A few weeks ago I got banned by rain for subbing a middle ranged guy on the opposite team from him. He had an sdom match to play. Everyone including rain clicked in, after we won i was banned there after. I think it's safe to assume had rain won, I would not have been banned. As in this case me subbing prevented the pug from dying.
My point is that it needs to be more cut and dry, if your captain/team doesnt agree to the sub and a trade cant be worked out don't just click in and ban based on the outcome of the game.
So I'm in agreement it needs to be enforced more, but it needs to be done so in the right way.
